  • Fun Run (10K) and Family Starlight Run (5K): No age limit. However, children under the age of 12 must be registered and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • All participants under the age of 18 (including companion runners) must check the box indicating parental or guardian consent at the time of registration. Please ensure accurate input of birthdate during registration for proper group placement. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant and withhold refunds if incorrect personal information affects race results.
2.Charity Participants
  • Charity participants include athletes with disabilities and their companion runners.
  • Athletes with disabilities must provide a valid disability identification card or certificate.
  • Companion runners must register simultaneously with the athlete they are accompanying (as a group of two or more).
  • Athletes with disabilities must download the “Participation Disclaimer Form,” print and complete it, and attach the required supporting documents. The completed form must be scanned or photographed and uploaded. Registration will be considered complete only after approval by the organizer, notification of payment, and successful payment.
  • Download of the Disclaimer Form for Athletes with Disabilities: Please download the “2025 China Airlines Marathon_Disclaimer Form for Athletes with Disabilities,” complete the form, and upload it to the designated section of the registration form.
3.Important Notes for Charity Participants
    • Before registering, athletes with disabilities are advised to carefully evaluate their own physical condition, or have their guardian or companion runner assess whether they are capable of completing the designated race distance. Please avoid overexertion that may lead to physical distress.
    • Each athlete with disabilities may be accompanied by up to two companion runners in the Half Marathon (21K), and up to one companion runner in the Fun Run (10K) and Family Starlight Run (5K). Companion runners must finish together with the athlete; they are not allowed to cross the finish line alone. (The use of a tether rope is not mandatory.) Violators will be disqualified and will not receive a result certificate. For charity participants in the Half Marathon (21K) accompanied by two companion runners, only one is required to finish together.
    • For safety reasons, athletes using wheelchairs or other assistive devices (including powered ones) are strongly encouraged to wear a bicycle helmet.
    • The use of any powered assistive devices—including electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and electric handbikes—is strictly prohibited unless the conditions below are met. Participants using such devices without qualification will be disqualified, their race results will be voided, and no objections will be accepted.
  • Athletes with physical disabilities who are unable to participate by walking or running due to both upper and lower limb impairments (see Note 1), and who cannot self-propel a wheelchair without electric assistance, may participate using a powered wheelchair. Those who are able to self-propel are not permitted to use powered assistive devices (including electric handbikes).
    • ICF diagnosis must meet both criteria: “b730a.2 or above” and “b730b.2 or above” as stated on the back of the disability identification card.”
    • ICF diagnosis must be “b735.2 or above” or “b765.2 or above.”
    • Other conditions approved by the organizer after review.
  • Athletes participating with a powered wheelchair must be accompanied by one companion runner throughout the race. A tether rope must connect the athlete and the companion, with a recommended maximum length of 40 cm (±10 cm). The rope must be held by both parties or securely fastened to the wheelchair. Both the athlete and companion runner must remain connected by the rope at all times. If the rope is released during the race, the participant will be disqualified. It is the responsibility of both individuals to check and ensure proper rope usage before the race.
  • For safety reasons, only the Family Starlight Run (5K) is open to athletes using powered wheelchairs. A limited number of participants using powered wheelchairs will be accepted, and confirmation will be given after review by the organizer.
  • As road running is a long-distance outdoor event, participants with spinal cord injuries or burn-related conditions are advised to carefully assess their ability to regulate heat and perspiration. Please avoid participation if there are any health concerns.
